Elwyns Windows Ltd was founded in 1963 by George William Blanks. Originally set out as a DIY store selling all manner of tools and home improvement products it was the glass and timber sales that began to pave the way. A natural progression steered the business towards early forms of window conversions and secondary glazing. By the late 60’s Elwyns acquired workshops to the rear of their premises and began the production of double glazed sealed units and solid timber window frames.

Since the early days Elwyns has remained at the forefront of change and moved with the trends of the time. Currently PVCu is leading today’s domestic market however traditional timber is beginning to make a fight back.

We provide all the major recognized products for replacement and new glazing and over the years have recognized that quality has no compromise.

Elwyns is proud to boast that over 95% of our staff have remained loyal employees in the last 5 years. In an industry that generally has a high staff turnover this is a very important part of our long standing success.

Elwyns employ all staff on a full time basis. The benefits from this are that all installations are carried out by our own experienced teams who understand the importance of completing all work to a measured high standard. You are allocated one of our teams at the beginning of your contact and they will work through to the completion of all works ensuring your complete satisfaction.

Internally the company is run by an experienced team who span many years in the industry. The two directors come from installation backgrounds and therefore understand the practical side of the business. Our directors carry out all surveys. This ensures that we fully understand your requirements and follow each job through to completion. We have a highly dedicated office manager who deals with customer orders, work scheduling and customer/supplier accounts.

We take a slightly different approach to sales. No pricing or estimating is completed at out initial visit unless requested. This immediately relieves the pressure of a pushy salesperson which allows you to make a decision in your own time. Our sales team will listen to your requirements and offer advice to help ensure you get exactly what you require. All salespeople are involved in site surveys and visit installations on a regular basis to give them an all round understanding.
