PVCu has fast become the most popular product available in the double glazing industry. All research and technology over the past twenty plus years has been channeled into improvements in this product. The result, for now, is very varied. Many extrusion, (main brand companies), have used current technology to produce window systems that sound too good to be true! Glaze your whole house for £1,750.00 and receive a free front door?!? Beware.

Current and future industry standards are fully aware of these offers and many companies who offer this type of promotion will not give you a fair deal.

PVCu comes in different grades. A lower grade PVCu will contain lead additives which are not only harmful to the environment during their manufacture but will degrade much quicker. We have carefully selected 3 market leading systems that achieve grade 1A PVCu and provide you with peace of mind that the environmental issues have been carefully considered to provide you with energy saving windows and doors that exceed all current FENSA and building control requirements.

Multi layered timber sections with opposing grains balances warping and combats twisting. It is the twisting of timber during wet and dry periods more than the swelling itself that causes windows and doors to stick. Wrap around security locking, engaging bolts in multiple points around each sash, not only provide advanced security but ensure that all sashes remain tight on seals and square within the frames. All products are glazed as standard with double-glazed units which incorporate enhanced thermal insulating glass. Argon gas filled cavities with a low conductive spacer bar produce an exceptional insulation barrier of 1.1W/m2K centre pane U-value, (for the less technically minded this means), an 80% average increase in energy savings compared to single glazing, and a 45% increase in energy savings compared to ordinary double glazing. Factory applied micro-porous coatings provide maximum protection with minimal maintenance. All products receive a base coat of timber preservative, then a primer coat, followed by two coats of micro-porous paint or stain. A micro-porous paint or stain allows the timber to breathe and therefore will not blister or separate from the timber as paint or varnish will. Broadly speaking, one should expect our coatings to last from 5-8 years without the need for re-treatment. Redecoration itself is very simple with no sanding or rubbing down required.

Slim, elegant and robust profiles are key features for aluminium windows and doors. With little change to the overall appearance, aluminium has undergone a few less obvious upgrades to bring it in line with modern requirements.

Quality

A high performance internal construction provides strength, rigidity and a truly solid structure. Hung with three high security hinges to a dedicated fully reinforced PVCu outer frame.

A solid core provides heat insulation many times greater than that of a comparable timber door. Flush fitting door construction gives a more traditional appearance whilst the PAS 23 compliance proves extreme weather testing compliance.

Security

Security tested to exceed PAS 24 requirements against extreme physical force, the modern four point hook lock has opposing hooks, deadlock and latch lock.

Maintenance

Once you have decided on the colour of your door and the style of furniture you desire there is very little else to worry about when maintaining this product in the future. The occasional rub down with a soapy cloth is all the door requires and the moving parts should be greased or lubricated a couple of times a year to ensure maximum life span in achieved.
